The Epic Willys Adventure (EWA) began as a grassroots homage to the early days of off-road exploration. Founded by a small group of vintage Jeep purists, it was conceived as an intentional return to the era when maps were paper, repairs were hands-on, and the journey mattered more than the destination.
Over the years, it has evolved into a nationally recognized event, drawing participants from across the country. EWA remains exclusive and limited in size, with teams selected not just for their vehicles, but for their commitment to the rules and the adventure ethos. Each year’s route is different—kept secret until the start—this Spring’s race weaves through forgotten corners of Cold War Massachusetts where cell signals drop and paved roads end.
The Missile Mystery Mini-Race is a one day, 100-mile event designed for participants who want to experience an Epic Willys Adventure for the first time and over the course of a single day. In style and substance, it’s the EWA— just smaller. No GPS, No Interstate, and No Excuses.

The Quabbin Quest was a one-day, 100-mile adventure race designed to test navigation, strategy, and overall jeep endurance through the rugged landscapes of central Massachusetts.
Racers began their journey at Stone Cow Brewery, setting off into forests, back roads, and the rolling terrain surrounding the Quabbin region. Along the route, participants visited local landmarks and checkpoints that showcased the area’s history and character. The racers were rewarded for more than just their speed, but also for their earned points at checkpoints throughout the course, meaning success depended on both smart strategy and careful navigation.
